My Brave Baby

I was just reading on my Baby Center e-newsletter that some babies are afraid of loud things like the vacuum or the faucet in the bathtub. But Alice totally isn't. She is facinated with the bathtub faucet lately. She loves pulling up on it and sticking her fat little hand in the loud running water. Likewise, she crawls right up to the vacuum. That makes my job of cleaning house a little more challenging, but I'm so glad she is brave.

Summertime, and the Livin' is Easy

So here is our schedule for the usual summer day:
Wake up, make coffee and wave daddy off to Central Texas Writing Project at Texas State. Make some coffee. Eat some yogurt. Play, play, play. Take a nap. Wake up. Do some chores. Play, play, play. Eat some lunch. Play, play, play. Daddy comes home. Go to the river. Eat some dinner. Bath, pajamas, storytime, bedtime.
Oh, I forgot to mention, while Alice plays, mommy cleans, cleans, cleans because we are putting the house on the market Monday. For sale! Hope somebody buys it because it is sure hard to keep clean.

Cowgirl!

Our neighbor had some family members in town that brought this horse! They were happy to let our little cowgirl have a ride. Doesn't she look tiny on that big, pretty horse? She loved it!
