Bananas!

Alice's first solid food!

Going to Meet the Rosebuds

We are getting ready to go see Mark and Kat. Alice is wearing a pretty little apron that her grandmommy made. She looks great in yellow!
Friday night we went up to Austin to get some t-shirts printed with Mr. Charles art. Alice has a little onsie with his skulls printed on it. We're washing it up real good today.
Yesterday we went to see some of my students play basketball--Bryce, Cole, Ian and Kurt. Seth and James were there, too. Bryce finally got to hold Alice! Alice made friends with some old ladies in the booth behind us at Dan's hamburgers that day, too.

Alice has been laughing more and more. She is such a happy girl--and we are such goobers! Her favorite toys are:
1. her toes--she can fit 5 at a time in her mouth!
2. louie bird--he is red with a polka-dotted tummy. he makes a sweet little chirping sound that she loves.
3. Bryce and Karen the sheep--they are soft and cuddly.
4. her linky toys--she puts them in her mouth and stretches them out.
5. her musical ball--instantly stops crying!

A Gift for the Princess of Rock

I was cleaning out the drawers today--packing up all the clothes the little chipmunk has outgrown--and we found this ridiculously adorable "crown". So Alice has been wearing it all day. It makes for an eclectic outfit with the rock-n-roll onesie, but, I think that is a pretty good self expression.
I finally finished the blanket I have been knitting for Alice since last March. I imagined my baby wrapped up in it so many times when I was knitting it while pregnant. It made me so happy when I gave it to her. She snuggled right up in it, and of course, put it right in her mouth. I guess she thinks it's yummy--she is still grabbing and chewing!
Ha! She just reached out for my jeans and tried to eat my leg--what an appetite! Now we are dancing to some good bluegrass music. Jason is helping Chris put in some flooring this weekend, so it's just us girls around. We are having a blast! What next? Oh, she just let me know it's snack time. Gotta buzz--------

The Princess at Home

Rowan's Princess Party

Alice attended her first birthday party today! Rowan celebrated her 4th birthday party at the coolest place--it was filled with trampolines! So Alice dressed up in her princess outfit and we went and bounced. It was a lovely party. Rowan is such a sweet girl, and she got lots of cute presents from her friends. The best part, though, was seeing her daddy in a tiara! That's some real daddy love. Alice got to see her friends Brynn (who is cutting her first tooth!), Graham and Dean.

Home Sweet Home

We are all glad to be home now so we can finally relax a little--and clean a LOT! I love these days where we can stay in our pajamas all afternoon. This picture is from one of my favorite angles to look at our baby girl. I love her little toothless gums and big cheeks!

New Years in Dallas

We went up to Dallas to visit our friend Edie and Brian and thier kids. We met their new baby girl, Sophia. She is just a few months older than Alice. She is already crawling around and saying a few words. It was fun for us to see what Alice will be up to soon. Thier son, Leland, was really sweet to baby Alice and played with her on the floor.
