The Peach

So I've taken to calling her Peach lately. It seems to fit her perfectly--she is soft and round a fuzzy and sweet. Every time I call her Peach it feels like I am saying "I love you" and giving her a kiss.
I love this stage of crawling. She sometimes keeps one leg out to the side and uses her foot instead of her knee to get around on. It is so funny! I love her little bumble bee baby legs--they protect her knees when she is scooting around the house. I am working on knitting her a pair. I hope I get them finished while she is still crawling! Okay--I really have to go get some work done. We are really going to try to get the house on the market soon. So we have to start packing, cleaning, touching up paint, doing all those tedious chores we have been putting off for a long time!

For Grammy California

A dear friend gave Alice an Easter Bible. Alice is "reading" her bible here. We knew her Grammy California would love these pictures! We have been going to church lately. The first time I kept her with us for the whole service. The next time she got too squirmy and loud (we were in the quiet tradidional service), so I took her to the nursery. It nearly broke my heart, but when we went to pick her up, she was having a great time. And the nursery ladies loved her!

I was just trying to feed her the last of her bananas and apple juice for breakfast, but she is too interested in Veggie Tales! So I guess that allows me a little more time to upload some more pics. So I added the pretty picture of the sweet peach asleep. This is why I can't get anything done lately. Even when she is asleep, I am glued to her. She is just so pretty and sweet, I can't look away.

Good dog

I noticed Alice was giggling a little as I rolled out my 3 heaping scoops of rocky road ice cream. She was sitting right next to me in the kitchen chewing on one of her baby spoons I gave her to keep her occupied for a few seconds. Good thing I got the camera. She put on quite a show laughing like that and petting our sweet dog, Lucy. Jason and I have always known that Lucy would be really sweet to our baby. She is such a gentle pup. We were surprised when Alice was born that our dogs seemed a little scared of her. They tried to avoid her for the most part. Maybe they sensed how special and fragile she was. I am so happy to see the relationship between baby and doggy is blossoming. Alice is now chasing all the animals around the house. It was really sweet that Lucy stayed still and let Alice get to know her tonight.

Crawling

Yesterday Jamie and I were up at school playing with Alice. We were trying to get her to crawl. Jamie said "If you crawl the Easter Bunny will come." And Alice totally started crawling! We were so excited!
She has been scooting around on her belly for a few weeks now. Two nights ago she started crawling with her belly off the floor. It's so funny, because she only crawls with one leg. She leaves the other one sticking straight out behind her! It's hilarious.
