Themes

Time to relax and play--NOT!  We are scrambling around trying to find a job for Jason, wondering whether we'll stay put or not, catching up on blogging, and most importantly, deciding on Alice's 3rd birthday party theme!!!
It has been a long discussion that has spanned a week, and here is the order of ideas: Cinderella (hers), mermaid (mine), Dora (hers), Tinkerbell (hers), Strawberry Shortcake (mine).  I really talked up the Strawberry Shortcake theme because I'm in love with it!  Instantly a whole vision blossomed in my mind involving vintage fabrics, green and white striped tights and strawberry-flavored everything.  I spent a whole day online looking for vintage Strawberry sheets and the old movie from the 80s I remember watching with Abbey.  Alice must see it!

The next day she boldly announced that she wanted to have a "Winnie a Pooh" birthday party.  Humph.  Nothing really blossomed in my head for that.  But this might make a cute background to the invitation:
It wasn't just a passing fancy, either.  A few days later and she is still wanting her "Winnie a Pooh" birthday party.  Well, I guess I will save a bunch of money if I don't go Strawberry Shortcake crazy.

Spring Break Staycation

Pillowcase dress and princess hat-perfect outfit for buying flowers!
Why not have a little pretend picnic right in our pantry?
And then a little pretend nap on the cold, hard tile.

Time to Garden

Here is our loot from our shopping trip today: (not seen) weed eater!, hose, flower/herb seeds, pink petunias, succulents, gloves for me, and "glubs" for Alice.
Gardening with gorgeous long hair is challenging.

Those are the Dora garden "glubs."
Aren't you proud, Aunt Abbey?
Little garden fairy
Repotted this cactus from my dear friend, Cherie.
New succulents in my best pots!
Pretty pink petunias.  Domestic bliss.
How 'bout them Dora panties?
She peed in the potty twice tonight!
