I know you have been dying to find out our new nickname for Punkin Love. Well, here it is...Pooh Bear! Daddy has already read the first book, and we have started on the second, The House at Pooh Corner. He has the cutest voices for the characters--not at all like the Disney movie.
Our Pooh Bear is the BEST baby. She is making straight A's as far as I'm concerned. We have been working really hard on having a regular night time routine for her so she knows when it is bedtime. (That has not been easy for her night-owl parents.) After reading The No Cry Sleep Solution and talking to some very wise mommy friends of mine, I realized that she needs to try to go to sleep on her own, and the sooner we get her to do that, the easier it will be for all of us. So we tried it. We swaddled her up, put her in her cradle and sat on the floor next to her and read to her (Winnie the Pooh). The first few nights she stayed for a while, but then protested and decided she wanted to be held. On the third night she stayed there in her cradle and let herself go to sleep on her own! (Do I have to mention that she doesn't necessarily stay there all night.:)
Ms. Kathleen says she has been going to sleep by herself sometimes during the day, too. Oh, and Alice's little buddy is staying at Ms. Kathleen's now, too. His name is Nolen, and he is SO adorable! When I went to pick Pooh Bear up on Nolen's first day I walked in and saw them holding hands! It was so precious.
